I'm wondering if you can help me ...Ms. Morgan.<br /><br />I'm wondering if you can help me to find answers to a couple of quick questions regarding WELLS Manufacturing's product Bubble Joy?<br /><br />Your other blog has already been helpful but I'm still wondering if around 1960 when WELLS started into the bubble business, if they bought the rights to Bubble Joy from the original manufacturers - Virginia Chemical Co?<br /><br />The reason I'm wondering: I'm a historian of bubble play and performance.<br /><br />If the lineage of Bubble Joy ownership traces back through WELLS to Virginia Chemical Corp... that would make Bubble Joy the oldest bubble toy brand/product on store shelves today. I ...Le Roy Cade, class of 1916 was my great-uncle. I met him for the first time when I was in 6th grade at his home in Lynchburg, Ohio. He was married to Mary and they did not have children. He died when I was in 8th grade and my family attended his funeral. He and Mary are buried in Lynchburg. Le Roy was a dentist and Mary a school teacher, both in Lynchburg. Le Roy was the son of Thomas Cade, a barber in New Vienna and Martha (Custas) not certain of the spelling of her name.
